Provided professional sales representation for manufacturers in the Brick, Steel, Aluminum, Petro-chemical and Stuctural clay industries.  Start-up sales..  Initiated and implemented successful sales and promotional programs.  Conducted effective products training meetings for major accounts.  Provided ideas on new products to assist in development of lines. Demonstrated aggressive selling and customer relations skills.  Managed eight. One year.

 

REGIONAL SALES MGR.  C-E Refractories Co., Atlanta.  Developed GA, AL, NC, SC, MS, TN.  Delivered turn-key contracts in start –up sales from the Aluminum, Steel, Foundry, Cement, Brick, Petro-chemical industries totalling $1.6 million in eleven months while maintaining $839,000 sales. Increased sales over 100% in one year.  Conducted effective products training meeting for major accounts.  Managed 11.  One year.

 

TECHNICAL SALES ENGR., Consolidated Aluminum Co., Atlanta.  New product line, start-up sales of foam filter to the Aluminum industry in the eleven-state SE area.  0-$1.4 million sales in 10 months using my own airplane.  Found an industry-wide faulty practice in the process while reducing inclusions significantly.  One year.

 

TECHNICAL SERVICE REP., JE Baker Co., Pgh.  Brought $1.2 million start-up sales first year and increased existing sales 50%.  Supervised 40 men in open hearth, electric furnace bottom installations and gunning trials while conducting effective products training for major accounts.  Reduced costs for the customer.  Four years. 

 

1ST LT.-U.S. Air Force. Selma, Albuquerque, Denver.  Piloted F-5.  Officer-in-charge weapons depot and received an accomodation metal for superior productivity with minimum manpower and cost reduction at a Top Secret base.  Managed 87 men.  Regular commission.  Three years.

 

RESEARCH&DEVELOPMENT ENGR., AP Green Refractories Co., Mexico, MO. Developed high alumina specialties, supervised two technicians.  Received four awards for outstanding work. Left to serve in military.  Two years.
